Okay, so a few things happened to me over the past 3 months...
Viral Infection ( Temporary lost of hearing due to this infection)
Almost bled to death a few blood transfusions.... long story
and the kicker.....

My numbers have spiked time for treatment!
I just returned from my wonderful vacation, as we were sure this would not take place, yet it did.
I survived my transfusion ordeal, though scary and losing me a few times in the hospital, yet I made it.
When I got the back to back news about MM and time to react with treatment, I was devastated- my thought was I will now be one of those people who starts the true dance with myeloma. I wanted to punch something and someone, but after a few days in the Bahamas, I've come back with a new perspective. God is not done with me yet.... he could have easily ended this a few weeks ago with my other medical scares, as I was that close to leaving here. Though I'm anxious, nervous about what's to come, I'm so a fighter and I cannot lose perspective on what life is about.....
Life's about that fight and making it to the finish line, tired, sweat and all making it through and being a testimony to someone else. I've gotten 5 years+ in that in itself was remarkable!

Black Swan Research Initiative awaits, let the questions and possibilities begin!

Pivot

The last few years have been interesting. Life has been busy, and this has taught me different perspectives on living with multiple myeloma. I wanted to expand on this on another point, but lately, I recalled when I thought my time here on Earth was near. I was deathly ill and it was clear that death was my fate and in this way. I survived that situation but it then expanded my walk further with multiple myeloma.  After an arduous treatment, I met lower numbers and back-to-back 0 spike, and BMX showed  MRD...REMISSION-YES! There has been a lot of pivoting in thinking one way and then having something else happen. It's clear there's no rhyme to reason; However, there's faith but that is even questionable for some folks. I know who questions faith- right? Some do and rightfully so when you don't have control over the situation. It feels okay in the moment to question.  Pivot with multiple myeloma is about rethinking living. Yes, it is a drag to be on treatment, and th...

Plugging Multiple Myeloma

I had a wonderful conversation with a new friend on the trials of myeloma, and it was interesting that we’ve both experienced to some degree the nonchalant reactions when faced with our disease. The saying to walk a mile in one's own moccasins could never be far from the truth, sometimes you get the feeling that no one cares or your cause and or experience is not of interest...., or better yet taken seriously.... I'm reviewing various sources to promote Another Face of Multiple Myeloma , and after extensive research I found there a not many books on patient related experiences, which I find odd, with the exception of popular myeloma blogger Pat Killingsley, I found just two other personal stories from author's penned memoirs on myeloma, and one unfortunately passed away and the other I'm desperately trying to gather contact information. I was in the process of working with a top myeloma foundation to present my book to readers that could possbly relate to my experi...
